Answers to commonly asked question
What is Integrative Personal Training? Integrative Personal Training incorporates a wide variety of diet and exercise strategies, lifestyle modifications, and attitude enhancing techniques in a custom designed program built specifically for you. What is variable flat rate pricing? Variable flat rate pricing is a way to manage my client list and the availability of my colleagues. When our services are in greater demand they cost more. When I am able to keep costs down due to seasonal variations in workload or the availability of instructors I can do so with variable flat rates. Why don't you just charge per session? We offer per session pricing for our clients who don't need as much of our time or are looking for the most cost efficient option. We offer unlimited training sessions at one flat monthly rate because we are willing to do wherever it takes to make this work for you. That means as much time as you need. How can you give so many people unlimited training sessions, are there enough hours in a day? I have been managing clients long enough to know how much attention some one will need at varying stages of their program and what I can take on. We discuss your needs and I schedule accordingly. If I am unavailable I will recommend one of my colleagues or we may agree on a group approach. But whatever we agree upon in the beginning is what I guarantee I will follow through on. Where do we exercise, how often and for how long. We do several different activities in all types of environments. In the gym, in your home, outside, at work what ever works for you. We use some of the most advanced training tools and methods available to help you reach your goals. You list a lot of different activities on the exercise page, are they all included in the price? Yes. Once we determine your goals I use every method at my disposal to help you get there. There are no hidden costs. I will make it perfectly clear what you are getting. There seems to be a lot of different definitions of healthy eating, what is your definition? My definition of healthy eating is consuming a nutrient rich diet. I believe a nutrient rich diet contains plant based foods that are as fresh as possible free of genetic modification and grown in the most nutrient rich soil available void of any chemicals, organic or petroleum based. Then to get this food from several different providers in order to reap the benefits of a variety of different nutrients coming from different types of soil. Next the animal based foods should eat much the same way they did for thousands of years, roaming in a pasture or living outside during the times of year when it makes sense. These animals should have never lived in a processing plant and be void of and unnatural drugs or chemicals while eating mostly there natural diet. They should be living a largely stress free life and be processed in a clean environment, thus producing a lean nutrient rich food. Coincidentally this is how humans ate for thousands of years and it is possible to eat that way today, your body will reward you. Are you a licensed dietitian or nutritionist? I am not a licensed dietitian or nutritionist. I have great respect for any one who endured the cost and rigors of the schooling necessary to become licensed. The way I teach nutrition is simply not taught in schools so it never made sense for me. There is so much political and corporate influence in the shaping of the curriculum used to teach nutrition professionals that the Real truth about healthy eating seems to get lost in the bureaucracy. I am insured, experienced and legal to teach nutrition under Minnesota State Law. References always available on request. You will do all my grocery shopping for me? Not exactly. When we meal plan and shop for you we only buy the things in our healthy meal plan. Any treats, toothpaste, and paper towels you still need to get on you own. We teach you how to manage healthy eating or simply do it for you. Where do you get the food? Wherever we can find what I would deem the healthiest food available in the twin cities area, using my criteria for healthy eating and your budget. This could be any of the local conventional grocery stores, farms, farmers markets or Food co-ops. What about the cost of food? Many people don't really know how much they spend per day on food. We will work within whatever food budget you have. I can feed you a healthy diet at any of price point. I can explain this better when we talk in person. How does the meal planning and cooking service work, do you pack my lunch and come over and cook dinner for me every night. We essentially manage your kitchen and make sure the foods we want you to eat are readily available and ready to go. First we meal plan for the day, next few days or for the week. If you would like to learn where to get healthy food, how to store it, prepare it and over all how to work with it we will teach you. Many people find they don't have time or just don't care to learn how, that's fine too because we will do it for you if that is the service you choose.
